How To Reach Your Potential

There are no guarantees for success.
Rational thinking people realize that there is no single formula that fits everyone. No one can guarantee you will sustain endurance or self-motivation. No one can maintain at full speed every hour of every day. To achieve desired results, you must seek a balance of active periods as well as rest periods. Each period in itself is directed toward a final outcome. It is through careful planning that you can minimize the non-productive times which threaten to undermine your success. A true fact is the more you are active, the more you desire to be active. Humans are born to be creative in one capacity or another and when a person is not creative, they tend to loose direction and esteem which ultimately leads to failure.
If you use the definition of success as "progressive accomplishment of personal worthwhile goals" than it becomes a never ending process. Progressive means higher, so when a goal is met it must be replaced with a higher goal. Like stair steps leading to higher levels when a level is reached you can only go to the next higher level. Although humans are born with the power to achieve anything they put their minds to, only ten percent of the population ever succeeds. Why? It appears lose of drive or misdirection of energy are the main culprits for failure. People simply don't or won't plan their lives for a successful outcome. They allow collateral interference to seduce them into following trends and urges.
Your Potential is limitless
Never forget, your potential is limitless because you are placed in a world of abundance. Look around, there is opportunity around every corner; simply by following a few guidelines and making right choices, it is impossible to fail. So, if we live in a world dominated by choices then it seams illogical that fear, doubts or worry should hamper your success. If making right choices brings you success then not making right choices leads to failure. It's as simple as that, the only problem is, people are notoriously lazy. They don't want to take the time and expend the energy to be successful. It's easer to fail and sit around and whine about it. After all, ninety percent of the population are failures, right? It is more comfortable being amongst the masses, right? I'm here to tell you to take your place amongst the ten percent who have made it.
As mentioned before, people naturally seek creativity, it's in their spirit. They seek purpose because without purpose they become disoriented and loose direction. Mankind has been blessed with life to grow and increase in higher aim and purpose. It is a reasonable acceptable answer to what life is all about. Look around at the incentives, a family, relationships, home ownership, a new car, the list goes on and on. Every material thing is an incentive to do better. Like the carrot in front of the horse's nose, everything is there as a prize for your accomplishments.
People think of success as competition with others but that is not a true definition of success. Success is a realization of accomplishment which is personal not rivalry. It is compensation for doing what is right. Think about it, if your potential is limitless, then your realizations must be limitless also. Discovery is infinite because in one discovery is the uncovering of another. Potential is only limited by your ability for acceptance. If you can imagine it, you can obtain it.
A goal is like a target. In order to hit a target you must know your target take aim, and then fire. There are some things to take into consideration. First what are you shooting at? Second, how far away is the target? Third, do you have a powerful enough gun to reach the target? Forth, take careful aim. Fifth, fire. Even shooting at a target takes planning and know how. Obviously, the more you practice the more often you will hit the target.
Your potential for success lies in you. You are the ultimate factor, no excuses, no recourse. You make it happen. God or no man will do it for you. You have to take advantage of the abundance that surrounds you, make a calculated choice and take a risk for success. Most people don't achieve success is because they don't have a clear defined concept of exactly what success is in the first place. They won't take that first step because they don't know which direction to step. That's why most people opt to work for someone else. They simply don't want do deal with making decisions and they don't know how to plan.
If you think success is gaged by material wealth than you can't be more wrong. Success is fulfillment, happiness and meaningful increase of being. This necessitates balance which decrees fulfillment. You have the potential to achieve your worthwhile predetermined goals by simply planning to do so. If it's not in your plan, then who's plan is it going to be? Joe Blow down the street doesn't care if you achieve your potential or not. Your spouse, in-laws, out-laws government or even God won't make your goals, because they can't. It's personal, if someone else does it for you, it's no longer yours, it's theirs. Then it becomes their goals, their potential.
No one is a complete failure. Simply by the act of living itself, there is an increase in experience. Everyone reaches some goals even if they weren’t planning on it. It may have been by happenstance but or chance but an occasional goal is reached. This kind of person never knows their true potential or even have a realization of what their potential could be. They simply go through life and never see the abundance around them. They are lost and doomed to despair because they are blind to what is in their power to do. If a person is spiritually barren, or socially rejected, or emotionally unstable then how can he/she seek what they are blinded to. A person who is physically broken, or has a family that detest him/her, or is intellectually sterile, can't find happiness in a big bank account. So wealth doesn't make people – people make wealth.
Be assured, because success is definable, Luck, coincidence or accident does not enter into the equation for achievement. Happenstance is simply a random incident that occurs with or without thought process. Success must be supported by directional cause. If it is not, it is simply random order and not part of success identification.
